NSA says it has safeguards for lawyer-client communications

Gen. Keith Alexander, director of the National Security Agency, says in a letter that the U.S. intelligence agency "has afforded, and will continue to afford, appropriate protection to privileged attorney-client communications." The statement was in response to a letter from James Silkenat, president of the American Bar Association, who asked for more information about the NSA's handling of such communications.
