S.C. prevention program increases CRC screening advocacy

The South Carolina Colon Cancer Prevention Network this year has additional funding and higher physician participation rates, so it is increasing the number of free screening colonoscopies it offers from 100 to 800 annually. Gastroenterologist March Seabrook said while other cancer screenings aim for early disease detection, "the goal with colon cancer screening is to prevent it."
