Senator: Feds' review of contractors' work history is "old and clunky"

Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., criticized the federal government's contractor review system as "shockingly old and clunky," adding that even the worst errors go unreported because officials don't want to face the ire of companies given a bad review. "Information about past performance and integrity is scanty, and what there is can be scattered across multiple databases," McCaskill said at a subcommittee hearing.
