Study: Low-dose aspirin may reduce CRC tumor recurrence

A study done at 19 Japanese hospitals found Asian patients taking low-dose aspirin had a reduced incidence of colorectal tumor recurrence, compared with patients given a placebo. Patients who took aspirin who did not smoke had a reduced risk of recurrent tumors, while those who did smoke had an increased risk, data showed. The results are comparable to studies done with Western populations, researchers said.
