Colorado workers' comp bill would boost costs, group says

A workers' compensation bill affecting an employee's choice of a doctor was approved by the Colorado House Business Affairs and Labor Committee. The Property Casualty Insurers Association said the bill would boost the cost of the workers' compensation system. "This legislation sounds simple on its face, but it is filled with ambiguous terms and unclear practical application which are aimed at breaking down some of Colorado's 16-year-old reforms of the workers compensation system," PCI regional manager Kelly Campbell said.
