Stations fined $65,000 by FCC for children's TV ad violations

Just ahead of the FCC commissioners' oversight appearance Wednesday before the House Telecommunications Subcommittee, the agency has issued proposed fines totaling $65,000 for six TV stations and an admonishment to a seventh outlet for violating kids' TV ad limits and reporting requirements. The stations voluntarily included the violations in their license-renewal applications.
