White House officials, corporate leaders discuss regulatory changes

Senior Bush administration officials on Monday met with top executives from Wall Street, corporations and major accounting firms to discuss possible rollbacks of laws passed after the Enron and WorldCom scandals. Business groups also hope to limit the liability of companies and accounting firms in government and shareholder lawsuits. Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson Jr. said the conference could lead to regulatory changes in coming months.
