AOL to acquire social net Bebo for $850M

AOL is expanding its reach in the social-networking space with the pending acquisition of Bebo, which boasts 40 million members and is especially popular in the U.K., for a reported $850 million. Bebo will be integrated with AOL instant messaging products AIM and ICQ, in the hopes of expanding the social network's reach.
