Principal challenges unfair treatment of immigrant students

Confronting a state law requiring that she identify students who likely were in the country illegally so they could be charged more for college credit, Arizona early-college high school principal Yvonne Watterson used a newspaper interview to speak out about a situation she saw as unfair. Her interview and the subsequent publicity of the students' plight helped Watterson to raise $83,000 in donations to help fund their education.
