23andMe to study saliva samples of Parkinson's patients

23andMe is collaborating with the Parkinson's Institute and the Michael J. Fox Foundation to gather saliva samples from 10,000 patients with Parkinson's disease. The gene-testing company plans to examine the samples for genes that might be linked to the condition and identify factors that affect patients' response to treatments.
