United Airlines bans "dangerous" breeds

After its merger with Continental became official last week, United Airlines changed its pet travel policy to exclude breeds deemed dangerous, naming nine breeds including pit bull terriers and American Staffordshire terriers. The AVMA opposes such breed bans because appearance is not an accurate predictor of aggression in dogs.
