Why developers should learn to use Mathematica

Application developers shouldn't try to solve complex mathematical problems on their own, says Stephen Wolfram. Instead, Wolfram suggests that developers outsource their heavy lifting to tools such as Wolfram's own Mathematica, which functions as a math-based programming language. "While [some developers] are using Mathematica in their software, so many commercially available applications are reinventing the wheel unnecessarily," he says.
