DAA rules for mobile privacy are expected soon

The Digital Advertising Alliance's privacy guidelines for mobile are expected to include consumer notification about online behavioral advertising and provision for consumers to opt out of allowing their information to be collected across applications. An opt-in provision for some types of information collecting is also expected, and advertisers may be asked to de-identify individuals after information is collected from their specific devices. The rules in final form may be revealed as early as next week, according to this article.
