Study links cocoa extract to better insulin pathways

Taking the cocoa extract epicatechin was associated with improvements in insulin pathways and receptors, according to a study in Molecular Nutrition and Food Research. However, experts said increasing dark-chocolate consumption may not have any benefits due in part to added sugar, calories and fat.
