AAFP tobacco-cessation project gets results, report says

A report on the AAFP's 2013 Office Champions Tobacco Cessation Project shows that all 22 participating practices completed the project and that there were increases in both tobacco status documentation and cessation assistance documentation. "We've found that if you can just get people to ask about tobacco cessation, they are increasingly likely to work toward quitting," said AAFP vice president Julie Wood, M.D.
