This week's Florida special election, won by a Republican candidate who'd been seen as an outsider, has left Democrats with a mountain to climb ahead of the midterm elections, experts say. The GOP won by putting the Affordable Care Act front-and-center, and will seek to replicate that strategy on a broader stage in coming months. Still, some Democratic analysts say the party's real problem might be persuading disillusioned progressive voters to turn out in large enough numbers to offset the more enthusiastic conservative crowd.
