Don't squander chance to repeal SGR, AAFP tells Congress

Congress may have to approve another short-term fix for Medicare's sustainable growth rate formula as a bill to repeal it has stalled and may not pass by March 31, when the current temporary patch expires and physicians face a steep payment cut. The AAFP and other stakeholders have urged lawmakers to act on the legislation, but the House plan includes a provision that likely will not pass the Senate.
