Morrisons plans price cuts to compete with discount chains

U.K. supermarket chain Morrisons will invest $1.6 billion during the next three years on an aggressive price-cutting plan aimed at reclaiming sales and market share from discount rivals ALDI and Lidl. The retailer reported a 2.8% decline in same-store sales for the past 12 months.
