Report suggests risk of seismic activities tied to fracking

A report by the groups Clean Water Action, Earthworks and the Center for Biological Diversity says hydraulic fracturing could heighten the risk of earthquakes in California. The report, however, failed to establish a direct connection between earthquakes and injection wells in the state. "No studies to date have evaluated the increased risk of induced earthquakes from California's existing wastewater injection wells," the groups said in the report.
