Study looks at metabolically healthy obesity in children

A study in Diabetes Care found one-third of children with excess weight may exhibit metabolically healthy obesity. Researchers also found waist size and dietary fat consumption independently predicted metabolically healthy obesity insulin resistance in patients, while moderate to intense exercise served as a strong predictor for cardiometabolic risk.
