NYC & Company, the destination marketing organization for New York, plans to roll out an online training program for U.S. travel agents following its introduction in the U.K. and Germany last week. "We are firmly committed to the trade and we know that the trade has seen a lot of changes," said Fred Dixon of NYC & Company. "There are a lot of new people in the industry and "fams" are fewer. We decided to take training to the travel agents. We have been monitoring the trend of online training, which has been very effective."
