Study: Whole-body PET/CT better for staging than whole-body MRI

Whole-body PET/CT is better than whole-body MRI for staging primary tumors, according to new research presented at the European Congress of Radiology. "Our qualitative analysis demonstrated that whole-body fused PET/CT versus whole-body MRI had a clinical superiority in these 20 patients, and had an impact on treatment," said a researcher from Rome's Tor Vergata University.
