Dissatisfied CIOs struggle to keep pace with changes

A relatively large number of chief information officers are looking to change jobs, driven by the turmoil and staff cuts caused by the shift to cloud computing and software-as-a-service, Pam Baker writes. "Those who enjoy strategy seem to be thriving emotionally, while other CIOs and [chief technical officers] are either lost or determined to change, meaning they are concerned but not pessimistic," says Phil Garland of PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory Practice.
