Teacher: Schools often overlook skills that students need

A California teacher says she's become a fan of author and blogger Guy Kawasaki, who in a past blog post offered a list of lessons that students should learn before entering the workplace -- such as how to negotiate, talk to a boss and write a one-page report. In this blog post, Heather Wolpert-Gawron writes that these skills often receive little attention in school because of the focus on standardized testing.
