Earthquake prompts many to postpone or cancel trips

Business and leisure travelers in the U.S. are reconsidering trips to Japan, and travel agents and tour operators say clients have flooded them with calls about what they should do. Peggy Goldman, president of Friendly Planet Travel, said uncertainty pervades the situation. "Our suppliers are being very circumspect. Nobody wants to make any sweeping statements about the tourism season," Goldman said.
