Increasing wage violations prompt more employer training

More companies have been hit with wage-and-hour class action lawsuits, as the Obama administration has made wage enforcement a priority. In 2008, more than 197,000 workers collected a total of $140.2 million in minimum-wage and overtime back pay after employers were cited with violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act. As a result, experts say, more employers are providing training to avoid such violations.
