Kerry sponsors infrastructure bank bill

The creation of a federal infrastructure bank that would provide loans to commercially feasible ventures is the focus of a bipartisan bill sponsored by Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass. The American Infrastructure Financing Authority would get $30 billion over six years -- and leverage that into billions more -- used to fund large infrastructure projects. It is meant to help get past budget shortfalls that impede infrastructure projects.
