Lehman investigation could end without charges, sources say

The Securities and Exchange Commission, which has been investigating the 2008 collapse of Lehman Brothers Holdings, might be unable to prove that the company's executives violated any laws, sources said. Regulators have struggled to punish companies or executives thought to be responsible for triggering the global financial crisis.
