Airfares climb as fuel costs soar, experts say

Rick Seaney, CEO of FareCompare.com, says airfares are 4% higher last week as compared to Jan. 1. The higher airfares are prompted by higher fuel costs for U.S. airlines, experts say. "Fuel remains our largest and most volatile cost," said John Heimlich, chief economist for Airlines for America.
