FAA searches for 6 sites to test UAVs

The Federal Aviation Administration is looking for six sites to test unmanned aerial vehicles. Drones would share airspace with private and commercial aircraft. "The FAA has a proven track record of safely introducing new technology and aircraft into the [national airspace system]) and I am confident we will successfully meet the challenges posed by unmanned aircraft system technology," said the FAA's acting administrator, Michael Huerta.
