More than 90% of smartphone owners have used their devices while in a store and most often for shopping-related purposes, including price comparisons, a JiWire survey finds. The survey also found that as of the fourth quarter, more than 50% of mobile owners surveyed had used their devices to make purchases, indicating new opportunities for retailers to drive sales by providing a seamless experience that extends to mobile and mobile payments.
