Banks go social to handle disgruntled customers

Banks are stepping up customer service on social media to address complaints and avoid the spread of negative chatter now that customers are using sites such as Twitter to complain about perceived errors or shoddy service. "Banks want to be on social media despite the fast-moving obstacles they face because that's where their customers are having a conversation," said Mark Schwanhausser of Javelin Strategy & Research.
