Boeing 787 wing cracks may be because of production change

A change in manufacturing processes by Japanese wing supplier Mitsubishi Heavy Industries may have been the cause of cracks found in wings for as many as 43 Boeing 787s in production or awaiting delivery, the company says. Boeing warned that inspections may delay delivery of the planes as long as two weeks but the problem does not affect any aircraft in service.
