A chart from the Washington Center for Equitable Growth shows how a minimum-wage hike would affect low-paid workers' paychecks, both before and after the inclusion of the Earned Income Tax Credit. The chart represents "a strong visual reminder of just what minimum wage workers earn, and how much of a federal benefit is needed to bring their income to a level that keeps them out of poverty," writes Rob Garver.
