Communication doesn't come easily to top leaders

Leaders tend to be astonishingly poor communicators, but what's worse is that many are just fine with that, writes Kristi Hedges. When everyone's watching you and hanging on your every word, many leaders will delay or rely on impersonal communication, Hedges explains. "Communications can be difficult to get right, and though important, all too easy to avoid -- especially when you get to call the shots," she writes.
