Sommelier Aldo Sohm and chef Eric Ripert worked together at Le Bernardin and jibe each other over wine pairings and a universal wine truth: drink what makes you happy. Sohm served the Bordeaux-loving chef a Burgundy for his birthday, and while he enjoyed the pairing, Ripert noted to Sohm that for the record, he likes Bordeaux, "with everything," said Ripert. "I drink wines from everywhere, and I really do like them. But give me Bordeaux, and I am happy."
