Mich. diners can now bring their own bottle

Customers are now allowed to bring in their own wine for a nice meal at Michigan restaurants with liquor licenses, though most likely with a corking fee. The law does not mandate that restaurants participate, and that decision may affect how much traffic businesses see. "Just as it's the restaurant's decision to not participate, it's also the customers decision where to go," said Wine Institute Regional Government Affairs Manager Sally Jefferson.
