Proposed website domain name sucks, senator says

Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., chairman of the Senate Commerce committee, has asked the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers to rethink its plan to add ".sucks" to its roster of top-level domains. Unlike existing ".com" and ".net" domains, Rockefeller says, this domain appears designed simply to extort money from companies, which would likely buy up URLs to prevent them from being used to smear their brands.
