Couric calls for greater colon cancer screening

In a discussion with Dr. Julie Gerberding, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, colon cancer screening advocate and TV host Katie Couric points out the same number of people who died during the entire Vietnam War die from colon cancer every year. Gerberding says one reason so few people get the necessary screenings is they don't know you can have the disease and be completely asymptomatic. Click here to watch a clip from the Today show.
