Report cites six reasons why space shuttle is vital program

Florida Today interviewed NASA officials and space and policy experts to determine why returning the space shuttles to space is an important step in sending astronauts back to the moon. They said the space shuttle program allows NASA to keep space experts on staff, and it would restore confidence in the agency. Also, other countries have invested billions in space research labs and expect the U.S. to do the same.
