ETS settles suit over Praxis scoring errors

The Educational Testing Service has agreed to pay $11.1 million to settle a class-action suit brought by teacher candidates who were told in error they had failed the Praxis exam or who received lower scores on the test than they should have between January 2003 and April 2004. The fund will be used to reimburse the plaintiffs for lost wages, decreased earning capacity and other damages they suffered as a result of the scoring problems.
