Performance feedback enhances diabetic care

Despite common knowledge about proper glucose control being key for diabetes patients, HbA1c levels in diabetics are rising, possibly due to "clinical inertia," in which therapy is not intensified as needed. Research suggests a computerized system that monitors blood glucose is more effective than reminders alone.
