Aggressive treatments come up short for Type 2 diabetes

A large government-sponsored study found no link between aggressive cholesterol and blood pressure treatments and a lower risk of heart events in people with Type 2 diabetes. However, one researcher noted that lifestyle measures such as exercise and eating well were not taken into account.
