Manufacturers hope to gain ground after harsh winter

Harsh, wintry conditions in parts of the U.S. likely slowed factory production in February, say some economists, but they believe manufacturers will lead the economic recovery as spending on equipment increases and exports get a boost from expanding global economies. Analysts expect the Federal Reserve to keep interest rates low to spark economic growth.
