Training, preparation are important for telemetry nurses

Telemetry nurses often are cardiac ICU nurses who are specially trained in heart irregularities and monitoring equipment. Many hospitals have their own training, and nurses say the key to good telemetry nursing is preparation. "It takes a lot of experience and assessment skills to be up to par at telemetry," telemetry nurse Barbara Kenney said.
