Aeras secures $220M grant commitment from Gates Foundation

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation pledged a five-year grant worth as much as $220 million to Aeras, a nonprofit dedicated to tuberculosis vaccine development. The nonprofit will use the money to fund large-scale efficacy studies, enhance its pipeline with next-generation candidates and create scientific methods to expedite vaccine development.
