Ohio district's gifted-education plan aims to serve more students

A plan to change the gifted-education program in Ohio's Columbus City Schools next year is drawing a mixed reaction from parents. Under the plan, students who are gifted will be taught in clusters of 10 or fewer within inclusive classrooms, rather than being pulled out for special instruction. Critics say the change will spread services thinner, but supporters contend it will allow gifted education to reach more students.
