Solar panels on West Bank set for demolition

The Israeli government is slated to demolish solar panels built by nongovernmental organizations in Palestinian villages in the West Bank that are not connected to the national electricity grid. The United Nations says that, while Israel provides electricity, water and paved roads to unauthorized Jewish settlements in Area C, it rarely grants building permits to Palestinians, and demolishes homes and animal sheds.
