In conjunction with AVMA's convention, a focus on human-animal bond

Research continues to support the benefits of the human-animal bond, and an event being held in conjunction with the 2013 AVMA Convention will explore the topic. This year's meeting of the International Association of Human-Animal Interaction Organizations will be the first in the U.S., and it will be held alongside the AVMA's convention, scheduled for July 19-23 in Chicago. Experts say human-animal connections can promote exercise and provide relief from depression, among other benefits.
