Koraleski overcame challenges of being top exec at UP

When news of Union Pacific's former CEO Jim Young needing medical treatment was announced, Jack Koraleski assumed the helm of the railroad's management and has been successful in continuing the railroad's business strategies, said Peter Nesvold, Jefferies & Co. analyst. Despite the challenges inherent in abrupt leadership change, Koraleski transitioned seamlessly and built on what Young had started. Meanwhile, Robert Turner, UP senior vice president of corporate relations, was recently named to the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation's board in Springfield, Ill.
